Donations During your Lifetime
The Eastern Bay Community Foundation welcomes donations of any size.
Donations may be added to our Community Fund or to one of our Named Endowment Funds.
Donations of $1,000 or more will go in to our Community Fund, and donations that total $50,000 or more will have a separate Named Endowment Fund created for them.
Donations during your lifetime currently qualify for a 33.3% tax credit, that's 33 cents for every $1 you donate.
A Named Endowment Fund qualifies you for some exclusive benefits.
Firstly, you can choose to have the Fund in your name, your families name or a name of your choice.
You or your successors will receive an annual report on the earnings and donations made from your Named Endowment Fund.
You can also choose which charities or organisations in the Eastern Bay you would like to receive the distributions from the income earned by your Fund.
You also have the choice to remain anonymous if you wish.

One excellent way to leave a lasting mark on your community is to leave a legacy in your will.
You may wish to consider making a gift which will benefit your community, you can leave a specified sum of money or a percentage of your estate in your will to the Eastern Bay Community Foundation.
You can start a Named Endowment Fund with your legacy or it can be added to an existing one.
