
Miles was appointed a Trustee to the Eastern Bay Community Foundation, in 2014.
Miles has had a long career in the banking industry, specialising in Rural Banking and Finance prior to his recent retirement from the ANZ Banking Group, previously the National Bank.
Miles is also the current Chairperson of the Bay of Plenty Rural Support Trust, which supports farmers and farming families through personal, economic and unscheduled events and crises that impact on the ability to remain operational in their farming and rural businesses and which may also affect their personal well being.
Miles holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Commerce from Lincoln University and a Diploma in Banking from Massey University.
Along with his wife, Debbie, a nurse specialising in end of life care, Miles lives on a rural property in the Awakeri area. They have two adult daughters and seven and a half grandchildren.
Miles enjoys golf and spending time with his family.
Miles brings considerable knowledge and financial expertise to the Eastern Bay Community Foundation, particularly in the field of long term investing. .
