The Eastern Bay Community Foundation is calling for expressions of interest for the awarding of this fund specifically for a project or initiative that will positively benefit women and children in our region.
This fund has been created by women in our region wanting to make a positive, impactful, and immediate difference in our communities. The decision on where the funding will make the biggest impact is made by the donors.
Applications open this week and close on September 22nd.
In 2022, the generous donors to this fund awarded $50,000 to Whanau Awhina Plunket to deliver a ‘pilot’ project, across the Eastern Bay connecting mothers and significantly improving maternal mental health outcomes, for new mothers identified as ‘at risk’. The fund was able to provide transport, car seats, educational play resources and places of connection, as well as skilled intervention when required.
