Impact 100 Fund on the way to success

Excitement grew as the women who were present at the launch of this fund, understood the possibilities that could be realised within a simple and collaborative framework of 100 women gifting $1000 towards a fund that will make impactful change in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

So many charities in the Eastern Bay have really struggled to meet their operational costs, just to continue the very important work they do. Let alone  to step into the space where they could actually make some of the aspirational goals for their charity a reality. These are charities that are so often reliant on gaming charities to stay afloat, or competing in the lolly scramble of funding from local government, energy trusts and private philanthropy. They never ever achieve the gold standard they aspire to, due to the lack of available funds.

This fund is all about supporting women and children to thrive in the space in which we all live, work and play.

This fund works differently to any other fund we hold.  All donors to the fund, help to decide on the project that they feel will make a significant difference in our region.

The aim is for the first funds to be distributed in April / May 2022.

Tax incentives must be considered: 33 1/3 % comes back to each donor as a rebate...so the actual gift equates to 3 flat whites a week for a year. This, for most women is within their scope to take an active part in.

Calls for projects to be considered will commence shortly, and some areas include: maternal mental health, nutrition and health initiatives, family/whanau centred projects, education and safe prevention of abuse/ de-escalation of violence within the family, care and protection of children, well child etc  etc
