Ladies Long Sunday Lunch

Impact 100 is a fund created by local women to assist women and chidren in our region, to achieve their aspirations, and to create real and impactful change. 100 women gifting $1000, creating an impactful fund to make a real and tangible difference in our communities. This is the second year that this fund is open for donations.

In 2022 the donors to the fund selected a pilot project run by Plunket Bay of Plenty, to assist with the reconnection of new mums, and to work on their mental health and well being, particulalry, but not exclusively in rural parts of the Eastern Bay.

This year we welcome Anjum Rahman MNZM to address the launch of the fund, and shed some light on her experiences as a Muslim woman living in Aotearoa. Anjum is a practising accountant in Hamilton and is in demand around Aotearoa-New Zealand and overseas for her insight and  support of women. Anjum began the Inclusive Aotearoa Collective, following the devastating massacre of Muslims in the Mosque attacks in Christchurch in March 2019. Her message is one of peaceful co-existence.

Plunket co-ordinator Sara Elliot will also update the donors of the work that has happened in our region, since they recieved the Impact funds.

This summer Sunday Lunch will be hosted in an exquisite country garden, tucked out of sight and with fabulous harbour views. We urge our donors to bring along other like minded women to enjoy this event.

Contact our office: support@easternbaycommunityfoundation.nz to organise tickets at $65 per person attending.

Although there is good shade, bring a sun hat and insect deterrent ( just in case)
