Succession planning is an important consideration in the continuance of the work of the Foundation. This year one of the 'founding' fathers of the Opotiki Community Foundation, (prior to becoming Eastern Bay Community Foundation) Peter Anstis will step aside after many years of committed service growing the profile and invested funds of the Foundation, along with Miles Mander, who has served eight years as the convenor of the Finance, Audit, Risk and Investment Committee. .

New trustees: Annette Papuni-McLellan, Bradley Shaw, Jimmy Heal and Paul Nicolson have joined the Board, and not only represent their geographical location, but also bring with them a wealth of professional knowledge and networks to the table, along with the enthusiasm needed to grow the Foundation into a resilient and robust change maker for our region.

Annette, domiciled on the spectacular Opotiki coastline, is closely connected to her region, wearing many hats. Check out Annette's profile on 'Our People' page.

Bradley, brings youth and community connection, along with digital skills and a penchant for story-telling to the mix. Check out Brad's profile on 'Our People' page.

Jimmy is well known in the Opotiki region as the previous owner of the New World supermarket with his wife Tracey, also closely connected with the Awakeri and Edgecumbe Plains area.
