Making a difference in Opotiki
Tears of joy from 'Mrs Lavender'...aka Shona Hammond-Boys, when the news broke that the Opotiki Children's Art-House would receive operational funding from the Kiwifruit Growers Community Endowment Fund, to enable the volunteers who share their time, talent and skills with over 200 children each week, to continue in their efforts, and not have to dip into their own pockets to fund the power account, materials, water usage etc.
National Volunteer Week 2020
The unsung heroes that weave our people of the Eastern Bay of Plenty together and provide the backbone to our community, are indeed our volunteers. This national week takes the time to acknowledge and celebrate their contribution, their efforts and their success.
Sustainable Support for seniors in our community
Eastern Bay Villages, a collaborative organisation that aims to support a thriving and inclusive community where seniors and isolated people can feel safe, has come a long way in the two years since its establishment.
