News from the Eastern Bay Community Foundation

Launched in late October 2021, the concept of collectively working towards impactful change for women and children in the Eastern Bay of Plenty has struck a chord with many of the funds' supporters.
Almost two years on from the tragedy that unfolded in the wake of the eruption upon Whakaari-White Island, the local first responders who put themselves on the line to save lives, were honoured with the granting of funds, to recruit, upskill, train and purchase resources.
Annual Charity Dinner
Revealing the hidden and sometimes horrendous information involved in a coronial enquiry was the subject matter delivered by the guest speaker at the Eastern Bay Community Foundation’s Annual Charity Dinner held in Ohope on October 8th.
Rangimarie Trust Opotiki
The generous hearts of a local family, who lived many years in the Opotiki District has created hope for secure and safe housing for those on low and fixed incomes through an Endowment Fund that will directly benefit the Rangimarie Trust, set up for this purpose in Opotiki.
